Core
Basics & profiles
What is R3CAP?
›
R3CAP is a lightweight daily recap app. Save 1–3 seconds a day, then replay your weeks, months, and years in a way that feels simple and personal.
Do I need an account?
›
No. R3CAP does not require accounts, logins, or sign-ups.
Do I have to use Profiles?
›
No. Profiles are optional — they just help you keep separate timelines (Personal, Family, Work, Projects, etc.).
Can I switch profiles anytime?
›
Yes. You can switch profiles anytime to keep your recap organized.
Can I rename or delete a profile?
›
Yes. You can edit a profile name/photo, and you can delete profiles you don’t need. R3CAP keeps at least one profile so your data always has a home.
Recaps & Exports
Saving + sharing
How do I export a recap?
›
In the Recap section, pick your range (weekly / monthly / yearly if available), then export. You can save it to Photos or share it from iOS.
Why does R3CAP ask for Photos access?
›
Only for things you choose — like setting a profile photo and saving exported recaps to your Photos library. R3CAP doesn’t upload or scan your library.
Does R3CAP add a watermark?
›
No — exports are meant to feel clean and personal.
Can I export old clips after I upgrade?
›
Yes. Upgrading (if you choose to) unlocks export options for ranges that already have clips.
Privacy & Data
Local-first
Where is my data stored?
›
On your device. R3CAP is local-first and does not upload your content to a server.
Does R3CAP track me?
›
No. R3CAP does not include ads or third-party analytics tracking.
Does R3CAP work offline?
›
Yes. Since your data is stored locally, the app works offline.
Will you add cloud sync?
›
Not right now. The focus is keeping the app simple and private.
